1. Setting Up UPI on PhonePe

  • Set Up UPI:

    • Go to the "Bank Account" section under the "My Money" tab.

2. Sending Money Using UPI

  • Send Money to a Phone Number or UPI ID:

    • Enter the recipient's UPI ID or select a contact from your phonebook.

    • Enter the amount you wish to send and add a note if required.

    • Verify the details and proceed.

    • Enter your UPI PIN to authorize the transaction.

3. Requesting Money

  • Request Payment from Someone:

    • Open the app and go to the "Request" section.

    • Enter the amount you want to request.

    • Choose the contact to send the request or enter a UPI ID.

    • The recipient will get a notification and can pay you through UPI.

4. Bill Payments

  • Pay Utility Bills:

    • On the home screen, go to the "Recharge & Pay Bills" section.

    • Choose the biller (e.g., electricity, water, gas, etc.).

    • Enter the details like the bill amount and your account number.

    • Select UPI as the payment method and enter your UPI PIN to complete the payment.

5. Scan & Pay

  • Make Payments Using QR Code:

    • Open the app and go to the "Scan & Pay" section.

    • Scan the merchant’s QR code.

    • Enter the payment amount and proceed.

    • Authenticate the payment using your UPI PIN.

6. Transaction History

  • View Past Transactions:

    • In the "Passbook" section of the app, you can view a detailed history of all UPI transactions, including payments, transfers, and bill payments.

7. UPI-Linked Offers and Cashback

  • Check for Offers:

    • PhonePe frequently offers discounts and cashback on UPI payments for certain services, like bill payments, recharges, or even at partner merchants. Keep an eye on these offers in the app.
